‘Medusa’ is a mythological figure who embodies both beauty and danger. According to Greek mythology, her hair was composed of snakes, and her gaze possessed the power to turn anyone who looked upon her to stone.

This sculpture captures the moment of her beheading by Perseus. She screams in pain, yet remains powerful and defiant. The choice of a bone-white finish references ancient marble sculpture while drawing attention to the intensity of her expression.

The work is strongly inspired by Caravaggio’s iconic depiction of Medusa.
